About Ski Nova

Following a ten year stint as a Ski Instructor in Courchevel, Raab set up his own Ski School and Ski Holidays Company "Ski Nova".

Half American, Raab began skiing at the age of 4 in Aspen and continued to ski regularly throughout France, Italy, and Austria before landing his first instruction job with ESF (L'école de Ski Français) where he remained for 6 years.

Raab now runs Ski Nova throughout the year but still regularly works on the mountain as a Ski Instructor, teaching a number of high-end private clients. Unlike many, Raab has worked within the French and British system having gained his BASI level 4 ISTD, French Equivilance and his EMS (European Mountain safety).

Ski Nova has now grown to 5 full time team members operating throughout the 3 Valleys with over 60 years of combined experience.

We believe having a ski instructor is not just about to learning to ski. Providing expert advice in snow sport equipment as well as wider alpinism, avalanche awareness, mountain safety and snow pack analysis are all part of the job - even inlcuding the best place for lunch!
