Half American, Raab began skiing at the age of 4 in Aspen and continued to ski regularly throughout France, Italy, and Austria before landing his first instruction job with ESF (L'école de Ski Français) where he remained for 6 years.
Raab now runs Ski Nova throughout the year but still regularly works on the mountain as a Ski Instructor, teaching a number of high-end private clients. Unlike many, Raab has worked within the French and British system having gained his BASI level 4 ISTD, French Equivilance and his EMS (European Mountain safety).
Ski Nova has now grown to 5 full time team members operating throughout the 3 Valleys with over 60 years of combined experience.
We believe having a ski instructor is not just about to learning to ski. Providing expert advice in snow sport equipment as well as wider alpinism, avalanche awareness, mountain safety and snow pack analysis are all part of the job - even inlcuding the best place for lunch!
Based in the Three Valleys, our home is the largest ski area in the world!
This means there is something for everyone - and with over 600km of interconnected slopes, Courchevel in the Three Valleys (Les Trois Vallées) is perfect for families and friends of all abilities.
With miles of green and blue runs, the region is a fantastic place to learn the basics. For those looking for something slightly more exhilarating, then the Couloirs offer a technically difficult and thrill-seeking opportunity to challenge yourself whilst not forgetting about the miles of off-piste terrain available as well.
With 3 altiports, one helipad, direct links via the Eurostar as well as 4 airports all within a 2 hour drive, the Three Valleys is the perfect destination for your next snow sport holiday.
